4.6. The pump of system of cooling ENGINES OHC

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To disconnect from the accumulator a wire of weight and to merge a liquid from cooling system. 2. To remove the fan together with муфтой. 3. To remove клиновой a belt. 4. To unscrew bolts and to remove a pulley from the pump of a cooling liquid. 5. To disconnect from the pump of a cooling liquid the elastic pipeline conducting to a heater. 6. To remove the elastic pipeline of a cooling liquid between the pump of a cooling liquid and a radiator. 7. To unscrew three bolts of fastening and to uncover a gear belt. 8. To unscrew three bolts of fastening of the pump of a cooling liquid and completely to take the pump.

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To take from the case of the pump knot of a shaft of the pump with consolidation, the precision bearing and a rotor. 2. To remove a sealant from a shaft of the pump and to take the precision bearing from the pump case. 3. By means of a ring and a shaft of the corresponding diameter and length to move a nave of a pulley of the pump on a pump shaft so that the shaft end acted on 1,5 mm over an external surface of a nave. 4. To establish a new sealant on a shaft of the pump and in deepening in the case. 5. To establish on a pump shaft its rotor so that a backlash between its blades and the pump case made 0,8 mm.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To clear surfaces of connection of the case of the pump and the block of cylinders of the engine. 2. To establish the pump together with a new lining on the block of cylinders. 3. To establish a casing of a gear belt. 4. To connect to the pump of a cooling liquid the elastic pipelines connecting the pump with a radiator and a heater. 5. To establish the fan. 6. To adjust a tension клинового a belt. 7. To fill cooling system, to connect the accumulator and to check up tightness and functioning of system of cooling. In case of need to add level of a cooling liquid.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. 2. For access improvement to the pump on engines with system of injection of fuel to remove an air inlet, the chamber of an elevated pressure and the air filter. 3. To merge cooling liquid from cooling system. 4. To remove приводной a belt. 5. To unscrew 4 bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump and to remove a pulley. 6. To substitute under the pump the corresponding container, to unscrew 5 bolts of fastening of the pump and to take the pump. 7. To remove from the pump a sealing ring (it is specified by an arrow). The sealing ring of the water pump of round section is subject to replacement.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

Connection of hoses to the case of the water pump of engine DOHC

And – a heater hose – till May 1990, B – a hose of a broad tank – till May 1990, C – a radiator hose

On models till May 1990 hoses of a cooling liquid have been connected to a casing of the water pump as shown drawing.

On models since May 1990 hose of a heater (A) and a hose of a broad tank () are replaced by places.

If hoses acted in film on earlier models, they should be are repeatedly connected as on later models, that is to connect a hose of a heater to union B and a hose of a broad tank with union A. It will reduce noise from a heater because of air in system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To disconnect from the accumulator a wire of weight and to merge a liquid from cooling system. 2. To remove the fan together with муфтой. 3. To remove клиновой a belt. 4. To unscrew bolts and to remove a pulley from the pump of a cooling liquid. 5. To disconnect the bottom hose of a radiator and a hose of a heater from the thermostat case. 6. To unscrew three bolts of fastening of the case of the thermostat to the water pump. 7. To remove the case and the thermostat. 8. To unscrew twelve bolts and to remove the water pump. On some models it is necessary to remove a pulley of a cranked shaft and гаситель крутильных fluctuations for access to the bottom bolts of fastening of the pump.
