3.5.4.1. Atomizers
THE GENERAL DATA

Atomizer

1 – the channel of tap of fuel,

2 – an adjusting washer,

3 – a spring,

4 – the case of an atomizer,

5 – the case of a spray,

6 – a needle,

7 – a nozzle

For definition of a faulty atomizer it is necessary to execute following actions.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To be convinced that the engine is serviceable also compression level is identical in all cylinders.
2. To start the engine and to warm up it to working temperature.
3. To weaken an union nut топливопровода on a checked atomizer. To note, whether engine turns have changed. To make the same check on accelerated single to a course.
4. At a serviceable atomizer obvious reduction of turns of the engine, accompanied by its non-uniform work will be observed. If the checked atomizer is faulty, change of turns of the engine will be insignificant and will be gone, if was present earlier, extraneous knock.

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove the air filter.
2. To clear топливопроводы a high pressure, to unscrew накидные nuts on the fuel pump and to protect them from pollution.
3. To unscrew from atomizers топливопроводы and to close them.
4. To unscrew atomizers a face key and to take out from apertures copper sealing rings and теплоизолирующие washers.
5. To clamp the spray case in a vice with soft sponges, to disassemble an atomizer and using the wooden tool to clear all details of an atomizer.
6. The atomizer needle under a body weight should slide densely in a spray nest.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish in a head of the block of cylinders new теплоизолирующие the washers directed by camber upwards, and then new copper sealing rings.
2. The further installation is made in sequence of return to removal.

It is supposed to use atomizers if after their dismantling, cleaning and the subsequent assemblage they restore the functionality and will sustain all checks.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
To establish an atomizer on the device and to create pressure on 2,0 МПа below pressure of opening of an atomizer. If within 10 seconds on an acting part of a spray round a needle there will be no fuel in the form of a falling drop – a spray nest tightly. At slightly worn out spray, its ledge is slightly humidified, without drop formation.

Adjustment of initial pressure of injection

Initial pressure of injection is regulated by lining installation under a spring. The increase in a thickness of a lining raises pressure of the beginning of injection, reduction – reduces. Change of a thickness of a lining approximately changes pressure of the beginning of injection upon 1kg/sm2 to 0,01 mm.

Fuel dispersion

Indispensable condition of work of an atomizer is quality of dispersion. The dispersion torch should be uniform on all cross-section section of a cone of dispersion, and dispersion should be misty. The beginning and the injection end should be accurate. At new atomizers injection is accompanied by a sharp sound, At working atomizers absence of this sound is not a malfunction sign.
